John Dobry moved to New Orleans in August of 2001, and quickly established himself as a player, composer, and instructor around the city. After a long hiatus from playing live, John is back with new projects and enthusiasm. After playing guitar at venues such as Tipitina’s, Dragons Den, Dixon Hall, The Opera House, The Stationhouse and various other spots, John took a break from playing to focus on composing, arranging, and Teaching.

John is currently playing with The John Dobry Group, Mainline, Jamey St. Pierre and The Honeycreepers, AIC, Coofs, and The Racket. This year John has also played with Dr. Funk and Los Po-BoyCitos. You can catch him up and down Frenchmen st. (Blue Nile, Cafe Negril, Mojito’s, Balcony Music Club), and at other music spots around New Orleans……
